Using Your NDIS Funds to Purchase Therapeutic Items

At EveryKid, we understand how important it is to have access to the right tools to support your child’s development. If your child is an NDIS participant, you may be eligible to use your NDIS funding to purchase therapeutic items from our store. We’ve outlined below how to use your NDIS funds with us, whether your plan is Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is continually evolving. It is your responsibility to understand how your plan can be used, and what items are eligible under your funding. Please visit the NDIS Website for the most up-to-date information.

  • NDIS orders will only be shipped once payment has been received and confirmed.
  • If payment is not received within 30 days, your quote is no longer valid.
  • We strongly recommend checking with your Plan Manager before requesting a quote or invoice.

What Can NDIS Funds Be Used For?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for supports and services that help individuals with disabilities achieve their goals. This includes therapeutic items that assist with mobility, communication, regulation, fine and gross motor skills, and daily living activities.

Depending on your plan type and funding category, you may be able to purchase:

  • Sensory tools (e.g., fidget tools, noise-cancelling headphones)
  • Mobility aids (e.g., walkers, adaptive seating, therapy balls)
  • Therapy equipment (e.g., resistance bands, fine motor skill tools, balance boards)
  • Communication aids (e.g., visual schedules, speech therapy tools, AAC devices)
  • Daily living aids (e.g., adapted cutlery, dressing aids, toileting supports)

Eligibility depends on your individual plan and funding categories. Please speak to your Plan Manager or Support Coordinator if you're unsure.

How to Order Using Your NDIS Plan

✋ If You Are Self-Managed

You can purchase directly through our online store like a regular customer.

Steps:

  1. Add your items to cart and proceed to checkout.
  2. In the ‘Special Notes’ section on the cart page, include: NDIS Participant Name + NDIS Participant Number
  3. Complete checkout using your preferred payment method.
  4. You’ll automatically receive a tax invoice via email, which you can submit to the NDIS.

✋If You Are Plan-Managed and Need an Invoice

If you’ve already paid for your items and need a claimable NDIS invoice, please complete the form below. We’ll send a PDF tax invoice with NDIS details included. Please allow up to 3 business days to receive your invoice.

✋ If You are Plan-Managed and Need a Quote for Your Plan Manager

If you or your plan manager need to approve the purchase before placing an order, please use our quote request form. We’ll send a formal quote by email, which you can forward to your plan manager for approval. Please note: Quotes do not hold or reserve items. We cannot guarantee stock availability by the time payment is made.

How it works:

  1. Complete the quote request form with your contact and NDIS details.
  2. We’ll review your request and send a quote within 1–3 business days.
  3. If you’ve added your plan manager’s email, we’ll send it to them too.
  4. If we receive payment directly from your plan manager, we will process and ship your order once payment is confirmed.
  5. If your plan manager reimburses you directly, you will need to return to our website and place your order manually using the funds.

If You Are NDIA-Managed (Agency Managed)

Unfortunately, we are not able to process NDIA-managed orders at this time. You will need to work with your therapist or support coordinator to explore alternative purchasing options.
